Overnight Shift Manager
Interfaith Sanctuary Homeless Shelter is accepting job applications for a full-time (40 hours a week) overnight shift manager. Applications will be accepted by email only through Thursday, June 25 at 10:00 am (info@interfaithsanctuary.org – a confirmation email will be sent upon receipt). Interviews will be scheduled on June 25 & June 26. The person hired for this position must be available for job training Saturday, June 27 – Monday, June 29 (various hours). Work schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday from 11:45 pm – 8:30 am (9:30 am on Sunday morning) and will begin on Tuesday, June 30. Starting pay rate is $10 per hour with medical benefits. Yearly salary: $20,800. Previous experience or training in this field is not a requirement.
Job Description:
- In conjunction with other staff and community & resident volunteers manage 130 – 155 shelter guests (men, women, families with children).
- Understands and is able to abide by the values of Interfaith Sanctuary.
- Physical ability to perform and oversee various cleaning tasks.
- Responds appropriately to emergencies.
- Demonstrates mature judgment & decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well with others and manage a team of volunteers.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of men and women.
